"Hear o Israel. YHVH your Elohim, YHVH is one."  Deuteronomy 6:4-9

"And the Lord shall become King over all the earth; on that day will YHVH be one (For all the nations shall abandon their vanities and acknowledge Him, that He is one, and that no strange deity is with Him) and His name one." (That His name shall be mentioned by everyone)  Zechariah 14:9

The 'Shema' i.e. the declaration of the oneness of God in Deuteronomy chapter 6, is the quintessential expression of the Jewish faith. What are its origins? How was it recited during Temple times? What is the message of the three paragraphs that make up the Shema? For the answers, listen to the teaching by Rabbi Chaim Richman.
